Parking

Check In

House Rules

There is a  £4.00 charge per day parking, Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are free. Pay at the meter between 8am and 6pm or buy a voucher from the guest house for longer stays (£2 per voucher).

Guests are welcome to check in at any time before 7 pm (6 pm Oct-March). Bags can be dropped in the morning. Rooms are usually ready from 3 pm onwards.

Please be sure to inform us if you wish to arrive after 7 pm. We have late key arrangements for late arrivals.

Our house is quiet and strictly non smoking. There is no curfew but we do expect guests returning late to be respectful of other guests and to be as quiet as possible.

We love children and are very family friendly, we have 2 cots, high chairs, and toys, and what is best is under 7's go free (when travelling with 2 adults and using existing beds)!

Breakfast

What to Expect

Local Attractions and Partners

Breakfast at the Amadeus is a continental buffet. But proper continental with lots of choice. Cheeses hams, juices, lots of cereals, toast, teas, coffee, bread rolls, fresh pastries, eggs, porridge, fresh fruit, yoghurt, so basicaly a generous selection.

Gluten free options are always available. Oat, coconut and almond milk always available, and lactose free on request.

If you have any other dietary requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to help.

The Amadeus is a small family and friends run guest house, so you can expect to be greeted with a smile. Your room should be immaculate or we will fire the cleaner! We will help you with anything you need (within reason) to make your stay a memorable one.

Please remember, however, that our house is over 100 years old, and this comes with some idiosyncracies (and no elevator/lift).

The Amadeus is a stone's throw from most places, Kelvingrove Museum, SECC, the brand new HydroBotanic Gardens, Glasgow University, Buchanan Galleries, Prince's Square and its great shopping.

The West End is full of nice cafes and interesting shops. Check out Sonny and Vito for the best deli in town, Tchaiovna for amazing Chai tea, and Ashton Lane for buzzing night life and great food! All less than 10 minutes walk from us!!

And if that is not enough there are also tons of fabulous places to eat. Our favorites to name but a few are Stravaigin, Left Bank, the Mother India Cafe, Ubiquitous Chip and the Bothy.

For tours, we recommend Rabbie's Tours! Planning a self-drive holiday? Then Secret Scotland may have just what you need!

Anything you may need, just feel free to ask us, we will be happy to reserve a table or a tour for you!
